A new strategy for adhesive restorations on minimally invasive treatment of caries disease

The minimally invasive treatment of caries disease is based on treatment using biologically active materials and modern adhesive systems. A winning strategy to increase the longevity of the resin-dentin interface, and the adhesive restorations, would decrease the MMP’s activity, protecting the interface, and the remineralization of the dentin. This lecture will present a proposal for caries disease treatment using natural products, with a lower potential of side-effects, and a biomaterial, reducing the need of replacement of dental restorations over time and recovering the treated tissue.
